The qualifications for the Naval Officer Candidate Course are as follows. It's important to note, under letter C, we specify the age requirement, which stipulates that applicants must be at least 20 years old but not older than 26 on the date of application. Additionally, they should not exceed 27 years of age upon appointment as a Probationary Ensign/Probationary 2LT.

NAVAL OFFICER CANDIDATE COURSE (NOCC)

  1.  Natural-born Filipino Citizen.
  2.  Baccalaureate Degree Holder (Preferably Technical Courses)
  3.  At least 20 years old but not a day older than 26 on the date of application and not a day older than 27 upon appointment as Probationary Ensign/ Probationary 2LT.
  4.  Height of not less than 5’0” (152.4) cm for both males and females.
  5.  Single and never been married, never borne or sired a child.
  6.  Of Good Moral Character
  7.  Physically and Mentally Fit for Training.

Likewise, the qualifications for the Sailor Basic Course is as shown. Again, we have specified the age requirement. At least 18 years old but not a day older than 24 years and 5 months old on the date of application and not a day older than 25 years and 5 months upon appointment as Candidate Sailor/ Soldier.

SAILOR BASIC COURSE (SBC)

  1.  Natural-born Filipino Citizen
  2.  Has completed 12 years of Basic Education under K-12 program or has at least 72 units of a collegiate course from an educational institution recognized by the government, or at least completed from Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA), any Technical Course with National Certificate (NCII)
  3.  At least 18 years old but not a day older than 24 years and 5 months old on the date of application and not a day older than 25 years and 5 months upon appointment as Candidate Sailor/ Soldier.
  4.  Height of not less than 5’0” (152.4) cm for both males and females.
  5.  Single and never been married, never borne or sired a child.
  6.  Of Good Moral Character
  7.  Physically and Mentally Fit for Training.
